Discover the Secret Life of Grandmas at Sugamo
Most tourists would never stop by Sugamo. That's because it's not typically known as a thriving area. In fact, it's known as the Harajuku of grandmas. But don't let that stop you from seeing the unique culture of grandmas. Witness weird red underwear sales, bargain hunting, the Arai Kannon ritual, and delicious soft foods. Just because it's for grandmas doesn't mean it's not interesting. Festivals are held on 4th, 14th, and 24th of every month and there are food stalls and flea markets.
Location: 4-22-8 Sugamo, Toshima, Tokyo 170-0002
