One Site, Five Islands: Booking Tokyo’s Izu Chain
Tokyo Islands Explorer, a multilingual booking platform for the Izu Islands, launched on July 9, 2026. The site combines accommodation, transportation, and island activities into a single booking.

The Izu Islands are roughly 30 minutes from central Tokyo by air, or reachable by ferry from Takeshiba Pier in Minato-ku. The landscape bears little resemblance to the city: volcanic coastlines, clear waters, forested interiors. Activities range from diving, trekking, and snorkeling, to camellia-oil pressing, traditional culture, and island cooking.

One-Stop Booking
Previously, a trip to the Izu Islands meant booking transportation and accommodation separately, a process that could be difficult for travelers from overseas. Tokyo Islands Explorer allows users to search and book package products combining island transportation and lodging, with advance payment by credit card. Booking support and itinerary guidance are currently available in English.
Oshima: Mount Mihara
Niijima: Boro Pier
Island by Island
For fiscal 2026, packages cover five islands: Oshima, Toshima, Niijima, Shikinejima, and Kozushima. Coverage is set to expand to Hachijojima, Miyakejima, Mikurajima, and Aogashima.
Each island offers different experiences-walking volcanic terrain, swimming, or exploring local food and culture.
Additional language support, beginning with Traditional Chinese, and original tours built around the islands are also planned.
