Universal Studios Japan Reopens to Visitors
The operator of the amusement park in Osaka is asking Tokyo residents to reconsider any plans to visit. The call comes as the capital has been reporting large numbers of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.
Universal Studios Japan has extended the expiration date for purchased tickets to up to 90 days from the day of the initially planned visit. For residents of Tokyo, the operator lengthened the extension period to up to one year as the government excluded the capital from its domestic travel subsidy program.
The park will continue to take visitors’ temperatures and ask them to wear masks as precautionary measures against the virus.
