As the new coronavirus continues to spread, fears over limited supplies have led to overbuying and empty stores shelves around the country. False information that Japan’s toilet paper was made in China spread online and through other sources. In reality, 98% of Japan’s toilet paper is made domestically, and store shelves are empty because of overbuying and late deliveries from factories.
