Singer-songwriter Piko-Taro (a.k.a. comedian Kosaka Daimou) won the “Freaking Awesome Video of the Year” award at the WebTVAsia Awards 2016, further cementing the global fame he's achieved thanks to his song, “Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen (PPAP).”

Held at the Korea International Exhibition Center in Seoul on November 26, the event honored internet videos popular across 12 Asian countries. Piko-Taro offered tongue-in-cheek thanks to his family, his cat, his neighbor and Justin Beiber (who shared his song) before performing ”PPAP” with his shorter doppelganger and a group of about 30 people. In October, Guinness World Records recognized Piko-Taro's 45-second song as the shortest ever to break into the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
