10 Restaurants Serving Mountain-Sized Portions
10. Agemonya
We’ve been to a few all-you-can-eat fried chicken restaurants, but this is the best one we’ve found. Even though getting a single piece of karaage is enough to make you full, the fact that it tastes so good will make you want to keep ordering more.
Address: 3 Anabuki Building, 4-29-9 Koenji Minami, Suginami-ku, Tokyo
9. The Nikudon no Mise
Here they serve a roast beef bowl that looks more like a mound of beef more than anything else. Pierce through the meat wall and you’ll find meat-soaked rice underneath. You definitely won’t be hungry after this meal.
Address: Spacy Plaza Kamata 1st Floor, 6 Kikuchi Building, 7-5-5 Nishikamata, Ota-ku, Tokyo
8. Tokyo Tonteki
A satisfactory meal is only 280 grams (10 oz) away thanks to Tokyo Tonteki. They know how to cook the meat just right so that every bit is extremely flavorful.
Address: Takizawa Building 2nd Floor, 2-22-10 Shibuya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
7. Bam Bam Bancho
If it’s fish you're after, you probably won’t find a bigger bowl of negitoro (tuna and green onions) than here; piled up high on a bowl of rice.
Address: Lions Mansion 2, Kannai Second Sloor, 3-39 Bentendori, Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa
6. Ramai
In Yokohama, you’ll also find the sister restaurant to an Indonesian soup curry eatery from Hokkaido. The smooth spices and towering plate of rice will have you dreaming of heading to Kintamani, Bali.
Address: Kiraku Building 7th Floor, 1-6-5 Isezaki-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa
