Nikko is an easy day-trip from Tokyo. Located in the Tochigi Prefecture, it is famous for its nature, shrines, temples, and food. There’s an old saying, “Never say kekko until you’ve seen Nikko” (kekko means beautiful/satisfied); I heard that saying at least three times during my trip in Nikko. People seem to really like telling it to tourists.
