You wouldn't expect a romantic riverside view in the middle of industrial Tokyo, but the Canal Cafe in Kagurazaka is here to prove you wrong.

The Canal Cafe was opened in 1918 as a place for recreation and relaxation. Today, it serves as the home of an authentic Italian restaurant specializing in stone-oven cooked Napoli pizza, as well as a dock for boat rentals. In the summertime, you might be able to see the glow of the fireflies.

A part of the profit from the rental boats at the dock goes to help children who suffered after the Great Tohoku Earthquake.
