VADE HOTEL is a brand that reads the culture and character of each neighborhood and gives every location its own design. The first property, in Shibuya, takes “MIDDLE STREET” as its concept.
Shibuya is known for its youth culture, but the hotel is aimed at adults with settled tastes. The theme color is a muted blue, and the interiors pair white rough mortar walls with high-quality furniture. At the center of the lobby, a bonsai serves as a symbolic centerpiece, bringing a touch of Japanese tradition into the hotel’s street-inspired atmosphere.
Artwork depicting both the old and new faces of Shibuya can be found throughout the hotel, so guests can take in the neighborhood’s culture without leaving the hotel.
Apartment-Style Rooms for Groups
The hotel’s defining feature is its 74 “Apartment Style Rooms,” all designed to accommodate four or more guests.
There are six room types. SHIBUYA TRIPLE + SOFA and SHIBUYA QUAD sleep four, and SHIBUYA BUNK COMFORT and SHIBUYA BUNK COMFORT PLUS sleep up to six. The total capacity is 304 guests.
Every room comes with a kitchen, washing machine, separate bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi, and smart lock. Guests can cook, do laundry, and keep a space of their own in the middle of Tokyo, which suits families and groups of friends traveling together.
All-Day Dining, Open to the Neighborhood
The first floor houses the second location of CHICAMA, a popular restaurant in Futako-Tamagawa. The 70-seat restaurant has terrace seating.
The menu features authentic pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven shipped directly from Italy, grilled dishes prepared in a charcoal-fired Josper oven, and ceviche made with fresh fish. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m., with freshly baked focaccia, egg dishes, avocado toast, and more. The restaurant’s signature Pizza VADE carries the hotel name.
Open from lunch through dinner until 11 p.m., the restaurant is designed not just for hotel guests, but also for people who live and work in the neighborhood.
Discover “Ura-Shibuya” from the Hotel
The name “VADE” is Latin for “Go with me.” The brand also centers on four promises: Value, Awaken, Discovery, and Encounter, and treats the hotel as a place where guests encounter the city around them.
Guests can join bilingual Japanese-English sessions introducing the neighborhood known as “Ura-Shibuya,” or “Back Shibuya.” The URASHIBU MAP, available in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean, covers the backstreets of Maruyamacho and the lesser-known corners of Shibuya.
VADE HOTEL SHIBUYA is just a two-minute walk from Shinsen Station on the Keio Inokashira Line and around eight minutes from Shibuya Station on the JR and Tokyo Metro lines.
