Fans will find one new attraction, La Taverne de Gaston restaurant (reservation required; see the official Disney website), LeFou’s churro booth, a gift shop, and all kinds of fantastic Beauty and the Beast decorations (including one very realistic mountain!). It is all centered around a town square and statue of macho villian Gaston. You will find this square just north of Space Mountain and Tomorrowland. Just look for the tower spire of the Beast’s Castle! The restaurant features meaty dishes and a jelly-pudding dessert (those who have been to Florida’s same park will be disappointed to know that LeFou’s Brew is not to be had in Tokyo). Walking around, you might find the Forest Theatre occupying a corner of the town, but unforuntately that is not yet open. Naturally, there are loads of goods and merch to slobber over, including an extremely popular reusable popcorn box that features a stain-glass design and an internal light for nighttime snacking. The main draw, The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, is a trackless dark ride set to music from the film.

Due to the overwhelming popularity, the ride cannot be accessed by regular queuing, obtaining a Fast Pass, or single rider. Disney has implemented a lottery system to determine who gets to ride. The first step is to download the official Disney app. On the app, you must submit an entry request by scanning the QR code on your ticket, which can be done only one time in a day, one per ticket. That means you’ve only got one shot in the lottery system! After scanning, you will see times to make a request and the app will tell you immediately whether or not your request was approved. If so, you simply return to the ride at the requested time. If not, you’re out of luck this time and you will have to wait until the park returns to standard operations.
