2020 Olympics Coronavirus Monitoring Center
A government panel on anti-coronavirus measures for the Tokyo Games decided to set up an infectious disease monitoring center to keep track of athletes’ health condition.

The center will be created within the organizing committee for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics that have been postponed to next summer. The center will coordinate with medical clinics at various locations including the Olympic village to enable early detection of those who test positive for the virus. The panel is also considering other measures to enhance the functions of medical facilities and increase the number of places where outpatient care and testing are available during the games.
Experts on the panel emphasized the need to secure medical personnel.
