Central Japan Railway Adds More Bullet Trains
Central Japan Railway Company increased the number of its Nozomi bullet trains to 12 per hour ahead of the Obon summer vacation.

Nozomi trains run between Tokyo and Fukuoka Prefecture in southwestern Japan. Company officials aim to maintain social distancing in trains as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.
The maximum speed was increased to 285 kilometers per hour for all bullet trains. Furthermore, the cleaning time was shortened to make sure the trains depart and arrive on time. Central Japan Railway hopes customers will feel safe onboard.
