YouTuber Arrested for Theft Positive for COVID
Officials of Yamaguchi Prefecture are calling on anyone who came into contact with the YouTuber to come forward. So far 17 people have consulted with the prefectural government in the case.
At a press conference on Friday, July 17, Yamaguchi Governor Muraoka Tsugumasa said he cannot believe that someone would interact with several people without wearing a mask.
Police arrested the YouTuber on July 11 for eating food at a grocery store before purchasing it and posting the video on social media. After the arrest, he tested positive for coronavirus.
