In Hakone, south of Tokyo, a Japanese sweets maker is steaming buns. Some 20 million people visited the area annually in pre-corona days. But not all stores on the main street have resumed operations. An official said he expects all stores to be back in business in a week or two when hydrangeas are in full bloom.
