Kyoto Ducklings' Annual Temple to River Trip
Ducklings born at a temple in Kyoto move to a nearby river in what has become an annual event. The move has become an annual event since a pair of ducks came to the temple and had babies. Eight young ducks began their journey from Yoboji Temple.
By NIPPON TV NEWS 24 JAPANThe mother duck soon disappeared, but that didn’t stop the children from continuing their adventure. The biggest obstacle is a busy street, located just in front of the Kamogawa River. When they got to the street, the ducklings took a rest on a sidewalk. Spurred on by locals, they safely crossed the street and arrived at their destination. The trip to their new home took about two hours.
