Tokyo Governor Asks for Restraint
Last week, she asked the city to stay home as much as possible, including on weekends and weeknights, as infections spiked.
At a press conference Monday night, Koike singled out bars, nightclubs and other nighttime establishment as places where the virus could spread and asked people not to go.
She cited a government report that pointed to such businesses as a possible source of infection for 38 people who were unaware of how they had contracted the virus.
