Japan to Ban Travelers from US, China & Korea
Japan announced on Monday that it is set to block the entry of foreign nationals from the United States, England, China, South Korea and other countries. The ban includes those who have traveled to the listed countries within a 14 day period. All Japanese nationals returning from the listed countries will be tested for the coronavirus at airports or other facilities.
Government officials will urge everyone entering Japan to self-quarantine for 14 days at home or in hotels. Japan's Foreign Ministry is set to raise its travel advisory for listed countries to Level 3, warning its citizens to "avoid all travel.”
