One of the Oldest Japanese Gardens in Tokyo
Koishikawa Korakuen is arguably one of the most exquisite traditional Japanese gardens in Tokyo. It is also one of the oldest gardens, completed in 1669 by feudal lord Yorifusa, founder of the Mito Tokugawa clan, and Chinese scholar Shu Shunsui. Like all Japanese gardens, you can find picture-perfect miniature hills, ponds, stones, trees, and of course the vibrant flowers and foliage—making the autumn maple leaves and spring cherry blossom seasons the undeniably best time to visit.
