Tokyo Government Revving Up for Olympic Games
Officials are getting ready for the 2020 Games with exactly 200 days to go until the 2020 Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony. Yoshiro Mori, head of the Games organizing committee, gave a pep talk to about 400 staffers on Monday, the first workday of the year.

Mori mentioned the current instability in the Middle East and said the Olympics cannot take place unless there is peace in the world. Meanwhile, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike urged employees of the metropolitan government to work together to make the Games successful. Monday, January 6 marked exactly 200 days before the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics and the whole city it truly abuzz with excitement.
