There’s so much packed into this short video, that’s only a little over half a minute long. Eugene (who works for the award-winning studio Robot Communications) first created hand-drawn elements of sea life like coral and jellyfish using just a pencil and watercolors. There is also a young girl who becomes the centerpiece of the narrative. The animator then brings them all to pulsating life using Photoshop and AfterEffects. The final video then features them all together, first as a flat animation but then as a three-dimensional, augmented-reality type piece.
