Meet one of the world's most expensive crabs. The high-end Itsukiboshi brand fetched a record $46,000 (5 million yen) at an auction held in Tottori Prefecture in Western Japan.

The male snow crab is a delicacy that is enjoyed during the winter in the area. The costly crab weighs 1.24 kilograms and its shell is 14.6 cm wide. The fishing season for male snow crabs runs through March 20, 2020. The season for female snow crabs is until the end of the year.
