Eat Authentic Ainu Food in Yokohama
Hokkaido is known for its delicious food, especially involving seafood and dairy products. But if you're stuck in Tokyo, you don't need to go all the way to Hokkaido to eat authentic Hokkaido food. Instead, go to Wacca from Hokkaido, a restaurant in Yokohama's Asobuild, run by a Hokkaido native. All dishes are made with authentic ingredients imported directly from Hokkaido and are curated with a hint of Ainu culture, the indigenous people of Hokkaido.
Dinner usually ranges between ¥1,500~¥4,000, including Hokkaido milk ice cream for dessert. Wacca from Hokkaido is only a few minutes' walk from Yokohama Station, so drop by if you have a chance.
