Famous Raw Egg Coffee at Yokohama's Café Giang
Have you ever tried egg coffee? While the majority of the world uses milk to make their coffee a little creamier, Vietnam's Café Giang uses eggs.
Why egg coffee? In 1946, there was a shortage of milk in Vietnam due to the Vietnam War. So instead, one man, Nguyen Van Giang, used a raw egg. Egg coffee became so popular that now Café Giang is one of the most famous cafés in Vietnam.
But you don't have to wait to go to Vietnam—Try it now in Café Giang's first Japan branch, located in Yokohama's Chinatown.
