Calligraphy Artist Speaks with Her Brush
76-year-old Nobuko Obata has never let a lack of hands hold her back, especially when it comes to her lifelong pursuit of her passion, Japanese calligraphy. An accident took her hands from the young age of five. Even so, she discovered calligraphy in junior high school, and has been practicing her art for over 50 years!
