Specialty Chopsticks for Ramen Noodles
These chopsticks, known as Edokibashi, are especially created for eating ramen without the noodles slipping down between them. The bottom part of each chopstick is thick and has four edges, while the wood is treated and finished for an easy grip on your noodles.
"Edokibashi" means wooden chopsticks from Edo, and it is the registered trademark of Daikokuya, a company that specializes in the production of chopsticks and related accessories. First made in the beginning of the Taisho Era (1912-1926), Edo chopsticks boast a tradition of almost 100 years. All the chopsticks are hand-made and use only high quality wood.
The key feature of these chopsticks is their number of edges. The tops are typically made with five or seven edges, which makes them easy to grasp and great for beginners, too.
