On December 15, 2017, Japanese comedian/illustrator Tekken (鉄拳) published a short flip-book movie summarizing Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. The release was designed to coincide with the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, the latest installation in the 30-year-old Star Wars saga.

Roughly two minutes in length, the flip-book reproduces the world of Star Wars in Tekken's distinctive style. It cuts out most of the characters (sorry Finn, Poe, Han and Leia) to focus on Rey's meeting with BB-8 and a very cinematic rendition of her confrontation with Kylo Ren, concluding with her dramatic meeting with Luke SkyWalker on Ahch-To.
