Get away from the crowded cities and get on the slopes with your family at Rusutsu Resort in Hokkaido. We've talked about the incredible Japow (light and fluffy Japanese powder) before, but it's a fantastic place for everyone. Even in the summer, there are things to do!

Winter

The most popular time to head to Hokkaido is during the winter, and Rusutsu Resort is a fantastic place to take the entire family. From powder pros to slope starters, there's truly something for everyone. For beginners, start with a ski lesson from international instructors before hitting the wide open beginner trails. For the initiated, try any number of the 37 trails across three mountains, typically receiving 13 meters of snow annually. Make sure to make your reservations well in advance to save some funds and potentially beat the winter crowds.

Summer

If your family is the outdoorsy, adventurous type, Rusutsu Resort has some exciting activities for you to enjoy. Tour the facilities on horseback before jumping in a raft or canoe. Or, try indoor bouldering. And if you're new to these outdoor activities, experienced guides are on hand to help you get started. The memories you'll make with your family will bring smiles to your face for years to come.

Amusement Park

Amusement parks are one of the best ways to spend time as a family, and Rusutsu Resort has the largest park in Hokkaido. You and your family can enjoy over 60 rides and attractions, including the Super Jumbo pool and water slides. After you've gotten your chills at the waterpark, get your thrills on one of eight roller coasters, including the Hurricane, Hokkaido's first suspended roller coaster. And if the wee ones need something a little slower, there are the Mad Mouse or Go Go Sneaker rides.
