Located in Yokohama, just outside of Tokyo, this café has tea and dessert sets, perfect for an after-meal recap. La Maison's fruit tart is the perfect match for any tea you decide on from the menu, but the chocolate gateau won't hurt either. The café is pretty and pristine, chic and dainty; Ms. Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's could probably be reenacted here.

This is Musashi-Kosugi's best kept secret (and mine). Even the name is a bit mysterious, as the sugi in it's sometimes stylized with a drawing of a tree (sugi means Japanese cedar). This spacious café offers select foods, extensive drinks, including tea and desserts for pairing. Cosugi Cafe supports "co-create, co-think, co-space," and most any form of collaboration, and is the favorite hangout spot of people who have discovered this secret café at the ground floor of The Residence, a high-rise condominium right next to the JR Line. Why is it the perfect spot for ladies who just lunched? There's a play space where moms could leave their children as they catch up over tea. Time and again they host "Cinema Café," offering film screenings to customers. Another great perk about this café: accessible power outlets and internet!

Curious passersby should not be fooled by its pretty appearance, this café also offers filling quiches and sandwiches.
