While Plastic Tree has toned down the imagery, looking like a regular alternative rock band in recent years, they started off in the visual kei genre in 1993 and have stayed active throughout all these years, despite several drummer changes. ”Yuki Hotaru" ("Snow Firefly") was released in the winter of 2004.

Formed in 2011, the Raid. has recently seen a member change but is slowly, yet steadily, gaining popularity in the scene. The single above, "Snow Pledge," was released in 2012.

REALies formed in 2011 and disbanded in the summer of 2015. "Yuki Tokei" (called "The Clock That Ticks Like Snow") was among their last tracks, released at the beginning of 2015.

This band seems to be a bit indecisive in terms of names. While Transtic Nerve, founded in 1995, is technically not active anymore, the same exact band members continued performing with the name The Underneath. The name change happened in 2007 and also marked a change in musical style towards a darker and heavier sound. The Underneath eventually disbanded, and all but one member has moved on to a new band called defspiral.

vistlip formed in 2007 and has been active ever since, excluding a short break in 2010 after a serious car accident that killed their manager. The band has even performed in Europe multiple times. The track "Moon Light Snow Rabbits" was released in 2008.

Hailing from Osaka, this indie band has only been active since 2014, but the members have been on the scene for a while through their previous band, Belmosaic. "Yuki Tokei" was released in November 2016.

Hailing from Sendai, indie band Xibalba was active until 2014. However, if you like what you hear, fear not: the members of the band are back in town as Morrigan. "Ephemeral Snow" was released in 2014.
