Shoryudo — Rising Dragon of Japan
For eight days, I traveled around the Chubu in central Japan, also known as Shoryudo. Although my trip was very busy, I was able to see many interesting sights and try some handicrafts for the first time! The region is packed with sights to see, cultural activities to try out and nature to explore.

Kamikochi Nature Walk (Nagano)
Kamikochi is a beautiful area where I was able to see spectacular views of the Japan Alps. Our lovely guide Teddy was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had an answer for almost any question we threw at him!
Something interesting about this area was the specific species of pine tree here, which changes color in autumn. I had thought that all pines were evergreen!

I also had a try of Teddy's recommendation, a cheese-flavored soft-serve ice cream at the end of the walk. It was surprisingly delicious and creamy!
