Eddie may not be okay, but we're overjoyed!

Joined by a pair of brilliant koto players, professional shakuhachi (bamboo flute) player Yoshimi Tsujimoto puts an incredible Japanese-style twist on Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal."

Hailing from Wakayama Prefecture, Tsujimoto only graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2010, but she's already contributed her sound to "Battle on the Big Bridge" in Final Fantasy XIII-2 and performed at the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Japan.

You can check out more of Tsujimoto's music, as well as her performance schedule, on her official website below. While now based in Tokyo, she also returns for a tour of Wakayama every year.

In Japan since 2001, I'm a former ALT trainer who's lived in Shizuoka, Saitama and Tokyo, and visited 34 of Japan's 47 prefectures (13 to go!). When I can get out from behind the editorial desk, I take photos, do bits of theater and practice German longsword.
