Hard to believe these images were taken 70 years ago! Officially the music video for “Ms. Yutani” by Boogie Belgique (a.k.a. Ghent-based DJ/producer Oswald Cromheecke), this footage of post-war Tokyo streets steals the show with its amazing quality and time-capsule content.

While some things have clearly changed (check out the women in geta sandals and kimono strolling past U.S. Army jeeps on the empty streets of Shimbashi), we’re more obsessed with how familiar everything seems … perhaps it’s the sidewalk army of dark-suited salarymen?
