7:10 a.m. — Shinjuku, Tokyo Check-In
The day starts at 7:10 a.m., when you check-in at Willer Bus Terminal in Shinjuku Station, Tokyo. Get there on time, as the tour takes off at 7:30!

10:30 a.m. — Arrive at Fifth Station
Arrive at Unjokaku (Fifth Station), where you'll meet the mountain guide, do some warm-up stretches, and get ready for the climb. You'll also be able to fuel up with a specially prepared and balanced Japanese-style pork sukiyaki lunch (vegetarian meals can be arranged).

12:00 p.m. — Mount Fuji Hike
Begin a six-hour hike with the mountain guide and your English-speaking tour guide, and set out for the higher stations closer to the summit at a moderate pace.

6:00 p.m. — Tomoekan Mountain Cabin (Eighth Station)
Arrive at one of the top stations and stop for a long rest and curry dinner. You'll be able to catch a few Zs at the mountain hut before heading out in the early morning to see the sunrise!

2:00 a.m. — Tomoekan Mountain Cabin
Wake up! Time to set out for the summit to catch the sun as it rises. You can leave your belongings at the hut, giving you a lighter, easier climb on the last section.

4:30 a.m. — Summit
You made it! Enjoy the view from Japan's highest peak as the sun rises over a sea of clouds. Rest up for the hike down, and enjoy a boxed breakfast at the mountain hut. For the energetic types, an optional tour of the eight peaks on the summit is also available.

8:00 a.m. — Honhachigome Mountain Cabin
Stop for some breakfast and enjoy a special bento with grilled salmon and seasoned rice (no vegetarian option available).

11:00 a.m. — Unjokaku
The main hike ends where it began! Congratulations! Be sure to collect your special pin for completing the trek.

12:00 p.m. — Hot Springs (onsen)
After a short break, you'll hop aboard the bus and make your way to Benifuji no Yu, an onsen near Lake Kawaguchi with breathtaking views of the mountain. It's up to you to if you want to shell out a little more for the chance to relax in one of the hot spring baths or not, after the optional lunch.

The trip will set you back ¥20,800 (US$189), or ¥29,800 (US$270) with equipment rental. Of course you can opt to go up the mountain without a guide, but for the inexperienced, or those without any climbing equipment, this could be a good package for you.
